Greetings again, fellow dream-seekers!
It's hard to believe that we are half-way
through this year already! I mentioned it
before, but it bears repeating: Take the
time to revisit your business plan and the
goals you set for yourself and your business
at the beginning of the year. Are you doing
all the networking, marketing and
streamlining you promised yourself? How
about your personal goals? Are you
exercising, eating better, reading more, and
spending time with the people who matter most
in your life? Congratulate yourself for what
you've been doing well, and fearlessly take a
step toward improving the things that you
want to do better.
You will be happy to know that WBO does not
stop during the summer months. We are here
working hard year-round, just as you are.
The July 8 meeting is our Annual Open House
and Membership Drive. The Open House will be
held during our regular meeting time from
6-8pm at Café Marie. The theme for this
event is: "How Can We Help You Market Your
Business?"
If you are a WBO member, the Open House is a
great opportunity for you to showcase your
business to other WBO members and our guests.
If you are not a member of WBO, but want to
learn more about who are and how we can help
you as you grow your business, please join
us. Attendance is absolutely FREE and the
great Café Marie cuisine that we've all come
to love so much will be featured. WBO
members and non-members can register for the
Open House online at http://wbo-mich.org.
Plan to attend the Open House, and feel free
to bring a friend. All are welcomed!
I look forward to seeing you on July 8. In
the meantime, be well, and continue to strive
for your dreams!
Yours in the pursuit of success,
T.Rose
2008 WBO President

How to Increase Sales and Grow Your
Business
That was the topic of our last meeting with
Denise Roberts, of the PAINLESS PROSPECTING
SYSTEM and SalesPartners-Troy who
has been helping companies, associations and
individual business owners achieve improved
sales results and grow their business.
In a quick 30 minutes, Denise gave us an
overview of what is normally a 3hr
presentation. We talked about what it takes
to move people from self -employed
"Entrepreneur" to "Business Owner"
and on to Investor. One of the bottom lines
is "if you can't build a team, you'll never
get there."
To build your business,
you have to know how to select the right
people for your team, how to teach your team
what they need to know, and you have to teach
them how to SELL. You need to duplicate and
replicate yourself and your knowledge.
You do this with a System- "this
is how we..."
with Accountability- to your stats,
your numbers and to your Code
and with a Code of Honor- a set of
rules that the Team
designs, buys into and lives by. They
keep the team together. Your team needs to
give allegiance first to the Code, second to
the Team, and thirdly to the individual.
Denise also talked about the "Little Voice"
which lives in your subconscious and sits on
your shoulder. Its that little reminder of
past events that colors the way you view any
thing that might come up. Though we talked
about the little voice and how it may affect
business decisions, Denise talks about it in
much greater depth in her workshops.
And much more. She quickly covered
-How to Master your 30 Second Commercial
-How to dramatically increase your
marketing response
-How to handle objections- ANY objection
-And how to tame that little voice in
your head.
So for those of you who have your business up
and running, are busting your "butt", but not
getting results and are asking yourself, "Is
this it? What am I missing?" you got a taste
of some of the secrets to make yourself
competitive at our last meeting.
If you want more indepth coverage, check the
Opportunities section of this Newsletter.
Denise will be giving Presentations over the
next month or two that you may benefit from
attending.
