To WBO Members and Guests,

It was great to have so many people join us for March's WBO meeting. Because of the amount of people, our next meeting will be held in the other room of Quarter Bistro, the Sun Room. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Since Sandi's talk, I've been inspired with a renewed commitment to incorporating Social Media strategies into my own business. Even though its taken a couple of conversations about the value of social media, it's finally starting to sink in! I recently came across this video on You Tube, and thought you all may appreciate it too!

The Social Media Revolution:

Sandi, as a gift to all of us, also sent us all a link to her training on Blogging. Just click on this link to learn more about the strategy of Blogging. Enjoy!

Another opportunity WBO is involved in is Women Making Connections on April 21st. We are volunteering for the event as a way to give back to the women business owner community and share about our organization. If you would like to volunteer and connect with women through WBO and Women Making Connections, please email Theresia, and she will fill you in on the opportunities available. Enjoy the rest of March and we'll see you all soon!

All my best,
Theresia Radtke

March Meeting Summary:
Growing Your Businesses with a Social Media Strategy

OVERFLOW CROWD !  Bring in more chairs and more chairs and MORE CHAIRS ! The energy level was high and over 40 members and guests heard a great presentation from Sandi Make of the InSight group from Brighton.  After an energetic time of networking, Sandi provided an overview of social media at a glance.

Social media is conversation, friendship and connection.  Sandi provided a fun "road map" for the steps for social media.  The pathway starts with understanding the need and use of social media and then takes us through the various steps to being productive and creative users of social media in marketing.

Sandi discussed Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In.  No matter what or all the sites used, the Home Page is crucial.  She encouraged everyone to have their own personal Home Page .  All sites should lead to you.  In addition she strongly encourages and recommends blogging, blogging that is uniquely you.  Her ending comment was that we should surround ourselves with people who help us find our bliss and they will find their bliss also.

( It seems that the team concept works even in social media- "together everyone accomplishes more."  )

Respectfully submitted by:
Secretary  Lu Parsons of Keller Williams Realty
