To Members and Guests of WBO:
We are very excited to offer you great networking and educational opportunities to finish up the 2010 year strong! First of all, on September 14th, we are having our annual open house to kick off the fall. Please come and learn about our members' businessess, network and find synergies and learn all about WBO! In October our meeting will be focused on networking - refining and practicing our skills with the WBO members. November is our annual dinner, with special guest Margie Traylor - we welcome you to come and enjoy this special evening with us as we celebrate 2010, be inspired for the next year and mix and mingle with the Women Business Owners community.
Margie Traylor is the CEO of Sitewire, Inc., an Interactive Advertising Agency in Tempe, AZ. Her desire ...to prove that a company could be run with heart and still be successful. Margie began her career as a CPA at Price Waterhouse and later moved to MicroAge, a Fortune 500 Company. There she met future Sitewire co-founder, Bret Giles, and in a single year, the two contributed $10 million to MicroAge's bottom line, marking their department as one of the most profitable in the company. Before leaving to start Sitewire, she became Vice President of Electronic Commerce at MicroAge, and was not only one of the company's few female Vice Presidents, but also one of its youngest.
Described by both business associates and friends as compassionate, sincere, giving and exceptional, it's Margie's dedication to maintaining strong relationships with clients and employees that is among her most outstanding qualities. She imbues Sitewire with this same strength of character and fortitude. Her passion lies in helping those around her achieve their greatest potential, which includes mentoring others. She loves starting businesses, doing business with others, learning about business and talking about business.
In 2008 Sitewire was facing flat sales and an abysmal close rate on new business development efforts. She shared her tale of woe with a dear friend who recommended that Sitewire learn to Whale Hunt. Their sales presentations went from being average to outstanding almost immediately. They took their win rate to over 50% in the first year. Sitewire has continued to grow their business, adding resources and thriving in a difficult economy. Margie gives much credit to the fact that they embraced Whale Hunting and transformed her company.
