Women Business Owners of Southeastern Michigan

The Women Business Owners of Southeastern Michigan held their Annual Awards Dinner and Expo on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at Travis Pointe Country Club in Ann Arbor. Ms Greta Johnson Williams of The Diverse Placement Group, who received an award for Inspiration and Courage, was the keynote speaker.

• A Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Jan Davies McDermott, Owner and Innkeeper of Davies House in Georgetown Bed & Breakfast. Ms McDermott is also Founder of Echo Educational Enterprises, President of Guiding Business Consulting and Facilitator of the Michigan Chapter of the Women Presidents' Organization Peer Roundtable Group.
  
• Business Growth Awards were presented to Gilda Johnson of Lake Forest Golf Club, honored for the facility expansion at Lake Forest this past year and to Dr. Sujata Buhata for launching her own private dental practice in 2005.
  
• Lynn Liston of Town & Country Errands was awarded The Nancy Ray Founder's Scholarship, presented to am emerging business owner who exemplifies the namesakes entrepreneurial spirit.
